this song is obviously about the adventures of baron munchausen. if you haven't seen it, please do so as soon as possible! one of the finest films ever made. i love it. 
 
posting this here as a work in progress. not sure if it should be sung in german or translated into english, which is funnier. 
 
i really want to write a song in german, to test the theory that german is a nice language to sing in. aside from nena and drinking songs i haven't really tried it. sam has this (drunken) theory that it's hard to make truly western rock music using latin languages, but that teutonic languages like english and german lend themselves to it. maybe i'll come up with something else auf deutsch and sing this one in translation. 
 
also, obviously, this will aspire to stereo total when finished.

the A section is rad. very nice melody. gotta love E major in the key of C. (this progression was once used to great effect in a little song called, "lime." don't let that give you pause! your rhythm and melody are totally different, and only a first coat nerd devotee like myself would even notice.)

i think you're selling the B section short. it's not as rad as the A section, but the first instance of it is really great. i think i like it in particular there because there are fewer words you're trying to cram in, so the melody is less burdened. i think it's good to slow the pace of the melody there as well, which gives you a break from the A section.

i am not terribly attached to the C section except for the phrase "shuttle up", which is like, "shut up". i really do like the way you wrap it around onto itself and the harmonies during the last two times through, though. and it makes a nice breakdown.

these lyrics are not at all bad. for someone having trouble writing, this is awesome. i was going to list my favorite lines, but there are too many in here! keep at it.
