 Yes.  This song is really awesome.  I can't wait to record a version of it with you!  I didn't hear all the words when we were playing it before, and you made some comment about how they aren't as meticulously constructed as some country songs' lyrics might be.  But I think you may have underestimated them.  I mean, they're not dripping with perfect internal rhymes or anything, but I really like a lot of the imagery, even stuff I don't understand (clay kites?).  There seems to be some conflicting stuff happening in the story if you read it all literally, as far as where characters are when, but the sum of the parts seems to me to be a really evocative description of someone navigating and measuring and needing and resenting the distance between him/herself and the other person.  It's maybe a bit more expressionistic than I allow myself to get, but that makes me like it.  This is a high quality song.
