the tri-tone in there--whoa.  super gutsy!  at first i thought my headphones were broken, but now it's growing on me.  i think for jumpiness you just need some kind of hot break beats and maybe electric guitars.  i think the melody is sufficiently driving.  the repetition is good for that, too.  finally, this one hits a little close to home.  i soooo need to update my resumé.

We shouldn't wait mp3

not waiting

Lyrics

What are you waiting
What are you waiting waiting waiting waiting for?
I wouldn’t wait
If I were you
I would get going
I would get going going going going gone
I would get gone
If I were you

If I were you
I’d get up and I’d seize the day
If I were you
I’d update my resume
If I were you
I wouldn’t waste another second of my life, no

What are you thinking
What are you thinking thinking thinking thinking of?
I wouldn’t think
If I were you
I would get moving
I would get moving moving moving moving now
I would move now
If I were you

If I were you
I’d get up and I’d dance around
If I were you
I’d know that it was love I’d found
If I were you
I wouldn’t let her get away no I would ask her

What are we waiting
What are we waiting waiting waiting waiting for?
We shouldn’t wait
We shouldn’t wait

We shouldn’t wait
For fortune, freedom, wealth or fame
We shouldn’t wait
For maturity or age
We shouldn’t wait
To celebrate with everyone that we’re in love, no

song writer's notes

I wrote this on 1/29/08; 16 days later, it became apparent that I was the only one waiting.

I'm disappointed in this recording because the song is supposed to make you want to get up and dance around. I think it needs bass drum.
