kind of a simple droney thing. i knew i wanted to try something with very fast strumming on some simple root position chords. i recorded the guitar first then put a bunch of delay and reverb on it. then i wrote the melody and words. the words came pretty quickly once i settled on doing a sort of creation story day dream. i recorded a second guitar and put it through a ring modulator, which is the strange aahooogaaa thing. then i picked a drum beat and put it through a 4bit crusher. all the shiny things

Lyrics

my legs partially subsided in a lake
as i lay back wondering what i ought to say
radiation fell out on all the shiny things
of creation with a bewilderment of waves
in the confusion everyone started choosing sides
reproducing each one according to its kind

oh oh my word so it was

and the story ended with galaxies which grow
like the fishes nibbling at my toes

Music

Chords

C, Fmaj7, G7sus4

Structure

verse verse verse bridge half-verse
