apparently this is what happens when you cross the smiths and the magnetic fields?  pure gold?  internal rhymes are super excellent, and maybe it's the way you've written them, but i love how the lines run around phrases and are shorter and longer than one expects in turn.  "where i am/the pain" is the best part.  the lyrics here are marvelous.  em, i love your situation songs like "changed my name" and "...alan", this seems to me to be another in that proud tradition.  i can't wait to hear how the parents do it!  i'm hearing killer bass action and killer sarajohnsen brand harmonies over the choruses.  this has astonishing pop hit potential.  another triumph!

Andy

Lyrics

Oh it might kill me if you would ever notice me. My heart would beat so fast I might just bite the dust at last. And if you saw me and saw what good i'd do for you, well the shock might make me stumble off a cliff and I would tumble out of view.

Oh I've got ten scars from walking into walls, 'Cause if you wander through my brain I don't know where I am. The pain, it isn't so bad. I don't notice it that much. But if you called my name I might just faint and bash my head so hard I won't wake up.

So Andy please don't ever fall in love with me. Oh Andy I've got so much left to do and see. And see.

So if you hear me, know this is all I ask. Just keep ignoring me, keep acting like I don't exist. And on the marquee I'll tell it to the world. I love a boy who doesn't see me, lucky me his gaze would slay me. Now I live my life a sight unseen.

So Andy please don't ever fall in love with me. Oh Andy I've got so much left to do and see. And see.
