So, this made me want to read about Alexander Hamilton on wikipedia, which made me want to read about the history of $10 federal reserve notes, which made me want to read about the $2 bill, which brought to my attention the fact that some strip clubs now provide $2 bills as change, rather than ones.  And I think there's got to be a song in there somewhere.  Thomas Jefferson's portrait talking to a surprised stripper about his legacy?  Feeling bad about being used to get patrons to spend money faster, but less than upset about being slipped into garters?  There's material here, I just know it.  P.S. Fixed the link! [[User:Gabemcelwain|Gabemcelwain]] 14:25, 12 October 2009 (PDT)

just put me on the money supply (mp3)

Lyrics

my one life
my how wide the hudson
my one son, philip, how i loved him
and my how heavy the pistol that killed him

and you my opponent
i stand before in virtue
i won't hurt you
i offer my life, my liver, to your pistol
and your powder
i'm martyred for my country

my country tis of thee
sweet meritocracy
my god i'm in pain
land where my son died
land where i gave my life
just put me on the money supply
and let freedom reign

So, this made me want to read about Alexander Hamilton on wikipedia, which made me want to read about the history of $10 federal reserve notes, which made me want to read about the $2 bill, which brought to my attention the fact that some strip clubs now provide $2 bills as change, rather than ones. And I think there's got to be a song in there somewhere. Thomas Jefferson's portrait talking to a surprised stripper about his legacy? Feeling bad about being used to get patrons to spend money faster, but less than upset about being slipped into garters? There's material here, I just know it. P.S. Fixed the link!
