rivers we change our ways

Lyrics

Would I lay upon the bed of a flood with the woman that I love
with the woman that i love
or would our hearts burst like hydrogen zeplin the fire everywhere
oh there's fire everywhere

so who changes hearts a surgen a surgen does
what could peel a pear apart i think a carving knife it could

oh the mountains amass and the air just swishes around all us rivers we change our ways
all us rivers we change our ways

so who could change a heart oh a surgen a surgen does
what could peel a pear apart i think a carving knife it could

so we can't take love back well lets give it away
oh we can't replay the past we'll just reinterpret it

and the mountains amass oh the air it swishes around all us rivers we change our ways
i know us rivers we'll change our ways

Song Writer Notes

i started this at the beginning of the month, and then didn't do much work on it. i like the construction of the song and the structure of the lines. i really like the bit with the surgeon and the carving knife. i think the beginning is weak, and i'm not sure what to think of the "you can't take love back" bit.
