i was on an almost empty flight from las vegas to indianapolis this morning with my laptop and garageband. found some odd chords and a melody, wrote some lyrics, did the structure very fast because the battery was dying, and now several hours later tidied up the lyrics and recorded vocals.

not sure what i think of this. the lyrics are because i was reading the penguin atlas of ancient civilizations and thought it might be nice to write a song with "ancient history" in it, but then i couldn't really get anywhere with it lyrically. the verse is pretty over the top, which i think is kind of fun, but the chorus is just the same set of chords i use for every chorus. writer's block is such a pain!!!!!!!!!
