Lyrics

Tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor
bar keep, horse theif, acrobat
Rabbi, quaker, cigar maker
BA, DA, diplmat

I walk down the streets on friday
people pulling down their shades
don't know what they got against me
what they got they got in spades

what do you say, what do you say, what do you say boys
its about time to make it shine like its on fire
oh my brother
you who know me
tell me something I'll understand
oh my mother
if you love me
won't you tell me
mir mama loshen

what do you say, what do you say, what do you say boys
its about time to make it shine like the northern lights
oh my father
you who know me
tell me something I'll understand
oh my sister
if you love me
won't you tell me
mir mama loshen

Chords

I'll record this soon and put it up.

Comments

mir mama loshen means in the mother toungue in yiddish. the first verse is after a poem by aa milne, but the horse theif, bar keep, cigar maker, acrobat professions are all in the family. this is the last of my "heavy base line, lots of minor chords" song set that came out of Utah and California.
