Songwriter Notes
i wrote this riff a while ago, figured tonight was the right time to know it out. i picked a beat that sounded ok, and slowed it down to half tempo, then recorded a couple tracks of the main riff followed by some punctuated guitar chords. for the words i did some free writing before settling on the first line "come settle me my pilgrim". i was scanning my bookshelf and saw the book pilgrim at tinker creek, one of my favorites. the chords on the build up section are pretty random i think. they are G major, C major, Bflat minor, A major. the words there are a riddle i found on the internet, the answer is L-O-V-E.
