Vaun braun

vaun braun pauses to push a pencil through the wall of his palm; a spear appears in the mind. forever thrust, and across a widening sky, this man just kept coming with a mind of death. and the unicorn's horn grown inward, through a barren skull filling with stars. soon the lidless abyss will be deformed, a cavern opens to reveal tunnels running from every stone to every other stone, growing in the fibrous structure of a fish a circulatory system; a criminal utility is assessed and blessed. sins rescinded. iron bent into paper clips. the thorn is graft to the rose in mild irony, and this man just stoops in the corridor where the passage appears. vaun braun pauses to push a pencil through the wall of his palm; a spear appears in the mind.

Song Writer Notes
this is one of a handful of 'songs' i worked on in 2007. listening back, i'm not sure what i was trying to accomplish. the samples are from various classical pieces. the words were based on the begining of william blake's 'the marriage of heaven and hell.' at the time, i had the idea to 'translate' the whole book into song, but i stopped after this first attempt.
i did the music and words separately then tried to combine them as best i could. i never found a way to sing the lines over the music i had put together, so i ended up speaking them. that's probably why i gave up. i like singing. i can't imagine performing this.
i'm also uncomfortable with lifting both the words and the music from other places. it feels criminal.
